Abstract: The present invention provides an endodontic medicament incorporating liposomal silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) combined with calcium hydroxide, barium sulfate, metronidazole, and ofloxacin in a gel formulation. The silver nanoparticles are synthesized using silver nitrate, a reducing agent, and polyethylene glycol (PEG) and are encapsulated in liposomes using the reverse-phase evaporation method. The composition offers enhanced antimicrobial activity, sustained release, improved biocompatibility, and radiopacity for effective root canal disinfection and treatment.
