Abstract: An endodontic instrument fatigue assessment system for determining structural integrity and reuse safety a detachable fatigue clip 101 configured to be removably attached to shank region of an endodontic file, an irreversible indicator 102 configured to undergo a permanent measurable state change based on cumulative clinical usage and sterilization exposure, a handheld reader module 201 having a sensing port 202 configured to receive the endodontic file in a tip-first orientation, at least one optical reading module 301 configured to detect and interpret the state of the irreversible indicator 102, at least one imaging module 302 configured to capture images of working portion of the endodontic file to assess structural integrity, and at least one spectral sensor 303 configured to detect fatigue-related material signatures from the surface of the endodontic file, a processing unit executes an artificial intelligence engine configured to classify the endodontic file into SAFE, CAUTION, or DISCARD categories.
