Abstract: ABSTRACT EMOTION BASED POSTURE RECOMMENDATION AND CORRECTION Example approaches for emotion-aware body pose guidance are 5 described. A processor (102) determines an emotional state of a user from facial information in image data and obtains a target body pose from a candidate pose set selected based on the emotional state. Skeletal data of the user performing the target body pose is extracted. A plurality of transformed views of the skeletal data, each of a different orientation, is 10 processed through a network comprising a neural ordinary differential equation to obtain a latent representation, and the latent representations are aggregated by an attention mechanism into a view-invariant descriptor from which a body pose is determined. A corrected pose is generated from the skeletal data and a stored exemplar, while a trained parameter of a 15 classifier remains unchanged, and corrective feedback is generated from a deviation between the corrected pose and the skeletal data.
