Abstract: EMOTION-AWARE PROVENANCE-BASED AI SYSTEM FOR ETHICAL REASONING USING RETRIEVAL-AUGMENTED GENERATION Abstract of the Invention The present invention relates to an emotion-aware, provenance-based artificial intelligence system for ethical reasoning using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). The system integrates natural language processing, affective computing, semantic retrieval, and controlled language generation to produce contextually and emotionally aligned responses. User input is analyzed to determine emotional state and intent, followed by retrieval of relevant passages from a curated literary corpus using FAISS-based semantic search and multi-dimensional re-ranking. A language model generates responses strictly constrained to retrieved content to ensure grounding. A post-generation validation module verifies outputs using quote matching, keyword overlap, and similarity checks, supported by retry and fallback mechanisms. The system ensures trustworthy, interpretable, and culturally grounded AI-generated responses based on Rabindranath Tagore’s works, reducing hallucinations and improving transparency in decision-support applications.
