Abstract: ABSTRACT EMOTION-AWARE CONVERSATIONAL AI SYSTEM WITH ADAPTIVE RESPONSE GENERATION The present invention provides an emotion- aware conversational AI system (100) comprising a sequential pipeline integrating a text preprocessing module (110) with BERT tokenization, an emotion classification module (120) employing a fine-tuned BERT classification engine (124) trained on a synthetically balanced dataset of 300,000 samples across six emotion categories, an emotion-input fusion module (130) combining the classified emotion with user input into a structured prompt, a response generation module (140) employing a LLaMA language model engine (142) with emotion-driven prompting and conversation memory, a response safety and quality module (150) with toxicity filtering, hallucination control, and bias mitigation, and a postprocessing module (160). The system achieves 94 percent classification accuracy using RoBERTa and generates emotionally coherent responses for applications in empathetic virtual assistants and emotionally intelligent dialogue systems.
