Abstract: Emotion-Adaptive Game Design Using Real-Time Player Sentiment Analysis is the proposed invention. We present an emotion-adaptive game design system based on real-time player sentiment analysis with Transformer-based Multimodal Learning. The system captures multimodal player information including facial expressions, speech, gameplay interactions, controller dynamics and optionally physiological signals to accurately detect emotional states such as excitement, frustration, stress, boredom and engagement. A cross-modal Transformer network is designed to fuse heterogeneous features through attention mechanisms and robust real-time emotion prediction. An adaptive gameplay engine that responds to the detected emotional state of the player dynamically adjusts game difficulty, enemy intelligence, mission complexity, reward distribution, environmental effects, music, lighting and narrative progression to maximise player immersion and satisfaction. Reinforcement learning continuously optimises adaptation strategies based on player responses in different game sessions, and personalised emotional profiles improve the accuracy of future predictions. Moreover, an explainable AI module provides developers with interpretable adaptation decisions. The invention improves player experience, increases engagement and retention and can be used for entertainment, educational, virtual reality and serious gaming platforms.
