Abstract: ABSTRACT EMBEDDED RANSOMWARE DETECTION DEVICE WITH MULTI-MODAL SENSING AND AI INFERENCE An embedded ransomware detection device (100) comprises a microcontroller (102) and a multi-modal sensor suite (104) coupled to the microcontroller (102), the multi-modal sensor suite (104) configured to acquire sensor data from a host device (108). The multi-modal sensor suite (104) comprises a current and voltage sensor (106) configured to measure electrical parameters of the host device (108), a temperature sensor (112) configured to monitor system temperature, an accelerometer (110) configured to capture motion data, and an RF transceiver (114) configured to monitor radio frequency signal characteristics. A digital signal processing pipeline (118) implemented on the microcontroller (102) receives raw sensor data from the multi-modal sensor suite (104), applies adaptive filtering, performs spectral analysis to extract frequency- domain features, and generates a feature vector. An AI inference engine (126) implemented on the microcontroller (102) receives the feature vector and generates a ransomware attack probability score. (Fig. 1)
