MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641072283 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on June 10, 2026, for Embedded Fpga Apparatus For Ifss-Based Qubo Fertigation Control.

Inventors include Radhakrishna Mohanty; and Shlok Kumar Goenka.

The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT EMBEDDED FPGA APPARATUS FOR IFSS-BASED QUBO FERTIGATION CONTROL An embedded FPGA apparatus for multi-nutrient fertigation control comprises a multi-nutrient sensor array including an ion-selective electrode bank measuring nutrient ion concentrations and environmental co-sensors measuring environmental parameters. An analog-to-digital converter subsystem digitizes sensor signals. An FPGA core processing engine includes an Intuitionistic Fuzzy Soft Set computation engine receiving a digitized sensor vector and computing, in parallel using dedicated combinational logic blocks, a membership degree, non-membership degree, and hesitation index for each sensor channel, and a QUBO coefficient generator unit transforming the degrees into a symmetric QUBO coefficient matrix through hesitation-weighted coefficient mapping. A dual-mode QUBO solver subsystem solves the QUBO coefficient matrix. A hardware safety interlock module is implemented on dedicated FPGA logic blocks independent of the processing engine. A fertigation actuation system includes solenoid valves and dosing pumps injecting nutrient solutions based on a dosing schedule decoded from the QUBO coefficient matrix solution.
