MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631042522 A) filed by Ipfc-Giet University Cell on April 02, 2026, for Embedded Computing Device And Method For Providing Network Security.
Inventors include Mr. Swayam Sopnic Nayak; Mr. Sushobhan Pal; and Mr. Ashish Kumar Jena.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT EMBEDDED COMPUTING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING NETWORK SECURITY 5 The present disclosure provides an embedded computing device (100) comprising at least one processor (102), a network interface (104) configured to receive and transmit network packets, and a memory (106) storing executable instructions. The processor (102) is configured to automatically configure the embedded computing device as a network gateway including a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol 10 (DHCP) server, router, and firewall, capture and process network packets in real time at the network interface, and perform intrusion detection using a hybrid detection framework comprising a behaviour-based anomaly detection module, and a signature-based detection module. The processor (102) is further configured to generate a combined threat evaluation based on outputs from the behaviour-based 15 and signature-based modules, classify network traffic using a stacked ensemble machine learning model, generate firewall rules based on the classified network traffic and enforce the generated firewall rules at the network interface in real time to control packet transmission.
