Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an electrospun cellulose-based hybrid piezo-magneto-electret composite and a nanogenerator incorporating the same. The composite comprises an electrospun cellulose nanofiber matrix having polydopamine-coated cobalt ferrite nanoparticles substantially uniformly dispersed therein to provide coupled piezo-electret and magnetostrictive energy harvesting characteristics. The nanogenerator simultaneously converts mechanical deformation and magnetic-field- induced excitation into electrical energy through a porous electret-active architecture that promotes stable charge trapping and efficient strain transfer. The disclosed composite provides enhanced electrical output, improved energy storage capability, increased power density and stable operation under prolonged excitation. The disclosed nanogenerator is suitable for use as a self-powered sensing element in real-time wireless sensing systems, wearable electronics, structural health monitoring and Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications while utilizing a flexible, biodegradable and fluoropolymer-free composite platform.
