MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202624078431 A) filed by Dosepack India LLP Us on June 25, 2026, for Electronic Medication Storage Apparatus And Integrated Sensor Network For Ingestion Verification.
Inventor includes Miteshkumar I. Patel.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: A network-connected electronic medication storage apparatus and system are disclosed to ensure clinical medication adherence through multi-modal ingestion verification. The apparatus comprises a bi-fold housing containing a pill storage module with upper and lower packing lids configured to receive a multi-dose blister pack. A guidance system utilizing multi-color LEDs directs users to specific medication slots based on a prescribed regimen. To prevent system spoofing, a smart medication hub triangulates data from integrated cameras, wearable sensors, and smart home devices to verify that medication is retrieved and physiologically swallowed. The system further validates clinical dependencies, such as food intake requirements and dosage sequences, by tapping into a distributed sensor network. Verified ingestion events are cryptographically recorded to generate an immutable clinical audit trail for healthcare providers.
