Abstract: According to an embodiment, an electronic device (101) may comprise a camera (180, 380), a display (160, 360), at least one processor (120, 320), and a memory (130, 330). According to an embodiment, the memory may store instructions configured to, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the electronic device to: display a preview image acquired through the camera on the display; receive a first input for capturing a still image while displaying the preview image on the display; in response to receiving the first input, detect the amount of change in an object included in the preview image; on the basis of the amount of change in the object, identify whether or not an event occurs within the preview image; when identifying that the event has occurred within the preview image, determine an event section including a start time point and an end time point of the event; and store a moving image corresponding to the event section together with the still image.
