The electronic device may comprise a processor. The electronic device may comprise a memory for storing data related to a protocol of data exchanged by the communication circuit and the processor. The communication circuit may obtain information of a cellular network connected to the electronic device. The communication circuit may generate information indicating a version of the protocol on the basis of the information of the cellular network connected to the electronic device. The communication circuit may transmit the information indicating the version of the protocol to the processor. The communication circuit may receive, from the processor, control data generated according to the version of the protocol. The communication circuit may be configured to perform transmission and/or reception of data through the cellular communication on the basis of the control data.
