Abstract: Abstract: ElectroLoop is a rechargeable, battery-powered flameless microbial inoculation instrument comprising a stainless steel handle encased in a thermoplastic insulating sleeve, an internal electric heating circuit, a power button, an internal rechargeable battery, and an external charging port. The instrument accepts six interchangeable snap-fit nichrome tips: a straight wire, bacteriological inoculation loops of 4 mm, 6 mm, and 2 mm diameters, a triangular loop, and a spreader. Upon pressing the power button, the internal circuit delivers controlled electrical current through the nichrome tip, resistively heating it to red-hot sterilization temperature within seconds, eliminating the need for an open flame. The thermoplastic insulating sleeve ensures safe handling during heating. The rechargeable internal battery enables cordless, portable operation. The snap-fit tip mechanism allows rapid interchange between tip types between procedures. Electro Loop introduces a fully flameless inoculation workflow, improving laboratory safety, portability, and efficiency across clinical and research microbiological settings
