MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641068823 A) filed by Sr University on June 01, 2026, for Electrokinetic Assisted Nanofluid Microchannel Cooling Apparatus.

Inventor includes Dr. G. Nagaraju.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: An electrokinetic assisted nanofluid microchannel cooling apparatus, comprising a microchannel body defining at least one microchannel configured to be thermally coupled to a heat-generating apparatus, a nanofluid flow path within the at least one microchannel, the nanofluid comprising a base fluid and dispersed nanoparticles, at least one permeable wall portion forming a sidewall of the at least one microchannel, the at least one permeable wall portion configured to permit controlled suction and/or injection of fluid across the sidewall, an electrode arrangement positioned to apply an electric field along the at least one microchannel to generate electroosmotic flow of the nanofluid due to an electric double layer interaction at the microchannel wall, a control arrangement configured to regulate at least one of the applied electric field, suction/injection through the permeable wall portion, or nanofluid operating conditions to enhance convective heat transfer while reducing flow resistance.
