MUMBAI, India, Nov. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641127274 A) filed by Kalasalingam Academy Of Research And Education on October 26, 2026, for Electrified Surgical Aspirator Device With Digital Fluid Measurement And Iot Monitoring.

Inventors include Dr. S. Shasi; and Dr. P. Jayakumar.

The application for the patent was published on November 06, 2026, under issue no. 45/2026.

Abstract: Title: ELECTRIFIED SURGICAL ASPIRATOR DEVICE WITH DIGITAL FLUID MEASUREMENT AND IOT MONITORING The titled invention discloses electrified surgical aspirator device with digital fluid 5 measurement and IOT monitoring to measure the quantity of body fluid and display the real time data on external computer and mobile through IOT control interface. The device features a portable base platform (1) housing dual body fluid collecting containers (2), weight sensor (6), a vacuum pump (5), an LCD display (4), and an IOT control interface (3). Prior to surgery, the Body fluid collecting containers (2) are 1.0 prefilled with water. During operation, the vacuum pump (5) suctions body fluids into the containers (2) while the weight sensor (6) continuously measure the quantity. An onboard microcontroller (3.1) processes these signals to calculate net body fluid volumes in real time, displaying local metrics on the LCD display (4) and transmitting data via Wi-Fi (3.2) and GSM modules (3.3) to a secure cloud server (3.4), web 15 dashboard monitor (3.5), and mobile application to the outside medical team. This invention transforms standard surgical aspiration into a smart, data-driven medical process that eliminates manual estimation errors and enhances safety and also helps the medical team to monitor the real time data of the fluid loss.
