Abstract: An electrical switchboard is disclosed. The electrical switchboard (102) includes a housing (202) enclosing a retractable unit (204) configured to move between a first, second, and third position using a retraction mechanism (302) based on a scotch-yoke mechanism. The retractable unit (204) comprises a first contact connector (206) detachably connected to a bus bar (208) for supplying input electrical power, a second contact connector (210) detachably connected to a controller power supply line, and a stopper (410). A rotary switch (412) is electrically connected between the first contact connector (206) and the electrical components in the switchboard (102) and is operable between ON and OFF states. An interlocking mechanism prevents movement of the retractable unit (204) when the rotary switch (412) is in the ON state and restricts the rotary switch (412) from switching to the ON state when the retractable unit (204) is in the second or third position, ensuring operational safety.
