MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621109733 A) filed by Abdulhusain Maimoon on September 12, 2026, for Electrical Ignition And Initiation System For A Safety Fuse.

Inventor includes Abdulhusain Maimoon.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: ELECTRICAL IGNITION AND INITIATION SYSTEM FOR A SAFETY FUSE The present invention relates to an electrical ignition system for igniting a safety fuse, particularly for controlled blasting applications. As illustrated in Fig. 1, the system comprises an electrical firing/control unit (1) electrically coupled to an ignition assembly (2) associated with a safety fuse (3). As illustrated in Fig. 4, the ignition assembly (2) comprises an electrode arrangement (11) having electrically separated electrode portions configured to generate an electrical arc (15) at an ignition region associated with a charcoal-containing composition (14) of the safety fuse (3). Upon actuation of a push-back button (A), an electrical switching arrangement triggers an electrical ignition circuit, whereby a high-voltage electrical output produces an electrical potential difference between the electrode portions and generates the electrical arc (15). The electrical arc generates localized thermal energy which heats and initiates burning of the charcoal-containing composition (14), thereby causing ignition of the safety fuse (3). The system may include a rechargeable DC power source, a reusable conductor, a connector and a single-use galvanized steel conductor connecting the firing/control unit (1) to the ignition assembly (2), thereby permitting operation from a separated location.
