Abstract: A zinc electroplating system comprises a power supply, a container, an aqueous electroplating electrolyte disposed in the container, polyethylene glycol dissolved in the electroplating electrolyte, a conductive cathode sheet, and a sacrificial zinc anode. A porous polymeric membrane sheet is disposed between the conductive cathode sheet and the sacrificial zinc anode. A pouch of porous polymeric membrane encloses the sacrificial zinc anode.
