Abstract: The proposed system is a solar-powered Al-based livestock health monitoring system designed for the early detection and prevention of animal diseases. A camera unit mounted on a tree or pole continuously monitors livestock using RGB, thermal, and optional depth cameras. The collected data is analysed using Al/ML and computer vision to identify changes in animal behaviour, movement, posture, body condition, estimated weight, and temperature patterns. The system compares these observations with the animal's normal health profile and detects possible early signs of illness. When multiple abnormal conditions are identified, it generates a health- risk alert and sends an SMS notification to the farmer, enabling timely veterinary attention. The solar-powered and non-contact system can operate continuously, making it suitable for rural and remote areas while reducing manual monitoring, disease spread, livestock losses, and treatment costs.
