Abstract: ABSTRACT EFFICIENT RATE CONTROL MAC CE DESIGN FOR MULTI MODAL SERVICES A user equipment (UE) performs a method including: receiving, by the UE from a network apparatus, a rate control medium access control element (MAC CE) comprising an indication of a rate control parameter indicating a bit rate value; determining, by the UE, a recommended bit rate (RBR) for each of N-1 quality of service (QoS) flows based on the bit rate value in the rate control MAC CE and corresponding rules for using the bit rate value, wherein N is a positive integer; and applying, by the UE, the determined RBR to a corresponding QoS flow of the N-1 QoS flow based on the corresponding rules. The rate control MAC CE further includes a quality of service (QoS) flow bit map and applies to all QoS flows supporting an adaptive bit rate identified by the QoS flow bit map.
