MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631033968 A) filed by Monita Wahengbam on March 20, 2026, for Efficient Lung Tumor Segmentation And Classification Using Hybridized Deep Ensemble Model.
Inventor includes Monita Wahengbam.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: The present invention proposes an intelligent lung cancer detection system using hybrid image processing, deep learning, and optimization techniques. Medical CT images are preprocessed using a hybrid median filter to remove noise. Tumor segmentation is performed using Elephant Herding Optimization combined with Otsu multilevel thresholding. Deep learning architectures including AlexNet, ResNet101, and VGG19 are used for feature extraction, and a Deep Ensemble Classifier is applied for tumor classification. An Enhanced Aquila Optimization algorithm optimizes the classification process. The proposed system improves detection accuracy, precision, and recall for early lung cancer diagnosis.
