MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541003826 A) filed by India Nippon Electricals Limited on January 16, 2025, for Efficient Electrical Machine Winding.
Inventors include Umashankar, Raman; and Selvam, Pradeepraj.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT EFFICIENT ELECTRICAL MACHINE WINDING The present subject matter relates to an improved and efficient machine winding for electrical machines. An integrated starter generator (ISG) system (100) is disclosed comprising a dual-winding, common-core 5 single package having a three-phase first winding (102) and a second winding (104) disposed on a common magnetic core. An ISG controller (106) is operatively coupled to the two windings and a battery (108). The first winding (102) is configured as a motor winding to provide a motoring mode for engine starting, and the second winding (104) is configured as a 10 generator winding to provide a generating mode for supplying electrical power and/or charging the battery (108). The ISG controller (106) includes a starter control (110), and a generation control (112) connected with the battery (108). The ISG controller (106) selectively control current flow between the battery and the dual-winding common-core package, 15 enabling controlled transition between motoring and generating operations.
