The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an edge-intelligent wearable apparatus for predictive hazard detection and underground worker safety monitoring. The apparatus integrates environmental sensing arrangements, physiological sensing arrangements, motion sensing arrangements, acoustic sensing arrangements, vibration sensing arrangements, edge processing arrangements, machine learning-based hazard prediction arrangements, and LoRa communication arrangements within a wearable helmet structure. Sensor data comprising gas concentration, temperature, humidity, pressure, light intensity, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, motion activity, vibration signals, and acoustic signals are continuously acquired and analysed for predictive hazard detection. Adaptive calibration arrangements compensate for sweat and humidity interference to improve sensing accuracy. Machine learning analysis classifies worker safety conditions into safe, warning, danger, and emergency states. Dynamic LoRa communication enables energy-efficient long-range underground communication. The invention further generates local and remote emergency alerts for rapid worker evacuation and underground safety response.
