Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an intelligent edge-based threat detection system for real-time safety monitoring. The system comprises an image acquisition unit configured to acquire environmental video streams, a processing unit configured to organize successive image frames into synchronized frame sequences, generate standardized image frames, identify person regions, and preserve pre-event image frames within a rolling memory region, a person detection and tracking unit configured to assign identities, maintain identity continuity, generate hand regions, and derive body posture and movement trajectory information, a contextual decision unit configured to correlate sequential hand posture transitions with physical interaction characteristics, validate an incident condition based on temporal persistence, generate an incident record including pre-event image frames, incident snapshots, and event metadata, and generate a threat signal, and a communication unit configured to organize and transmit the incident record and threat signal to a remote monitoring interface for presentation of live event information and recorded evidence.
