Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a smart ticketing and tracking alert system (100) comprises an edge computing device (102) configured as a local processing unit within a vehicle. The system includes a driver display unit (104), a driver alarm unit (106), a user display unit (108), and a user alarm unit (110) operatively coupled to the edge computing device (102) for providing real-time information and alerts. A GPS module (112) continuously transmits vehicle location data, while a mobile application interface (114) enables user input, fare payment, and receipt of electronic tickets. A Machine-readable code display (116) and a Machine-readable code scanner (118) facilitate ticket validation, and a cloud server (120) supports data synchronization and storage. The edge computing device (102) processes inputs, computes fare based on distance, generates and validates electronic tickets, and determines proximity to pickup and drop locations to trigger passenger-specific alerts, enabling decentralized, efficient, and real-time transportation management.
