Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is an edge-based drone system for real-time crop disease detection and adaptive precision spraying. The system comprises an unmanned aerial vehicle platform, an imaging module mounted on the platform for capturing crop image data during flight, an onboard edge processing unit for processing the crop image data onboard the platform to identify a diseased crop region and determine a disease severity level, and a geo-localization module for associating the diseased crop region with location data. An adaptive spraying assembly carried by the platform comprises a spray tank, a nano-bubble generation unit, a mixing chamber, and an adjustable nozzle. The adjustable nozzle is controlled according to the disease severity level and the location data to apply a nano- bubble enriched agrochemical mixture to the diseased crop region.
