MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611096292 A) filed by Chandigarh University on August 10, 2026, for Edge-Ai Enabled Intelligent Lpg Monitoring And Predictive Management System.

Inventors include Dr. Rajesh Kumar; Hrishita Sharma; Sinjini Das; and Ratul Singha.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an Edge-AI enabled intelligent Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) monitoring and predictive management system configured to perform real-time localized monitoring, adaptive behavioural learning, predictive forecasting, anomaly detection, and autonomous refill optimization. The system comprises a multi-sensor acquisition framework, a signal conditioning module, an embedded Edge-AI inference engine, a predictive forecasting engine, an anomaly classification framework, and a decentralized decision engine configured to execute predictive analytics directly on embedded hardware. The invention continuously estimates residual LPG quantity, projected depletion duration, and prediction confidence while distinguishing hazardous leakage conditions from legitimate consumption variations. An autonomous refill optimization engine generates predictive refill recommendations based upon dynamically changing consumption behaviour. By performing localized inference without continuous dependence on cloud-based infrastructure, the invention improves response time, operational reliability, predictive accuracy, communication efficiency, and safety for residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial LPG management applications.
