MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631112083 A) filed by Institute Of Engineering And Management - School Of University Of Engineering And Management on September 18, 2026, for Edge Ai-Based Personalized Greeting Companion System And Device.

Inventor includes Ankita Sen.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention is an Edge AI-based personalized greeting companion system that uses offline embedded processing to identify registered users and create tailored interactions. An embedded TinyML inference engine, an identity verification module, a context-aware interaction engine, an image acquisition module, an image pre-processing module, and a user interaction module make up the system. Image frames are captured by an embedded camera, scaled, normalized, and locally processed for identification classification by a TinyML model. A personalized greeting or contextual message is generated and shown through an integrated OLED display once a confidence threshold decides whether a person is recognized. The system supports privacy-preserving, affordable, portable, and energy-efficient tailored human-technology interaction applications by performing image acquisition, recognition, verification, and interaction generation without the need for Internet access, cloud computing, or external processing.
