Abstract: The present invention relates to an Edge AI and IoT enabled intelligent highway barrier system for real-time accident detection, impact localization and emergency response. The system comprises a plurality of interconnected highway barrier modules, a protected continuity communication line, module-specific identification elements and a centralized master control unit. The master control unit monitors continuity characteristics and impact-related sensor information to detect structural abnormalities, validate vehicular collisions and identify an affected barrier module. An Edge AI processor performs local multi-sensor event classification and determines impact severity. Upon confirmation of an accident, accident-location and barrier-status telemetry is transmitted through an IoT communication interface to traffic-management and emergency-response infrastructure, while a V2X interface may provide localized warnings to connected vehicles. An event-responsive camera enables local visual assessment. A solar photovoltaic source, rechargeable battery and power-management circuitry enable autonomous operation. The centralized architecture reduces duplicated electronic hardware while providing scalable highway structural monitoring and rapid accident notification. Accompanied Drawing [FIG. 1]
