Abstract: The present invention relates to an eco-friendly forensic fingerprint powder, primarily composed of sugarcane bagasse, which includes cellulose and lignin as key components. The cellulose provides structural stability to the powder particles, ensuring uniform distribution across various surfaces, while lignin enhances the adhesive properties, allowing the powder to effectively bond with fingerprint residues. The powder may also include optional non-toxic colorants or fluorescent agents to improve visibility on challenging surfaces. This biodegradable powder naturally decomposes, making it suitable for forensic fingerprint detection. The sugarcane bagasse is processed through drying, grinding, and sieving to achieve a fine powder with the desired particle size, and the optional additives are mixed during the final processing stages to ensure uniform distribution. A soft brush applies powder to surfaces, adhering to oils and sweat in latent fingerprints. Excess powder is tapped off, and lifting tape captures the fingerprints for analysis.
