The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: An eco-friendly cement mortar composition and method of preparation thereof is provided. The composition includes a Cissus quadrangularis extract as a natural admixture, to improve fresh and hardened properties of the mortar while eliminating need for synthetic chemical superplasticizers. The use of Cissus quadrangularis extract reduces overall construction cost attributable to admixtures to 0.75% to 1%, thereby providing potential savings of up to 50% in admixture-related expenses compared with conventional chemical superplasticizers. The resulting mortar exhibits improved flowability and workability, together with enhanced compressive, flexural, and tensile strength. The disclosure provides a biodegradable, cost-effective, and sustainable alternative to conventional chemical admixtures for use in masonry, plastering, rendering, repair, and other cement-based construction applications.
