Abstract: The present invention relates to a biodegradable and reusable therapeutic pad designed to provide dual-mode hot and cold therapy for relieving pain and promoting tissue recovery following trauma, musculoskeletal injuries, or surgical procedures. The pad comprises a multi-layered structure including a hypoallergenic outer fabric layer made of natural fibres, a biodegradable hydrogel thermoregulation core, an insulation layer, and a compostable biopolymer backing layer. The hydrogel core is capable of retaining and gradually releasing thermal energy for effective heat or cold therapy. The hydrogel will be infused with natural bioactive agents such as turmeric extract, Aloe-Vera, menthol, or ginger to provide localized anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. The pad further includes adjustable eco-friendly straps for ergonomic fitting on different anatomical regions. The invention offers a sustainable, washable, and compostable alternative to conventional synthetic therapeutic pads while reducing medical waste.
