The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an eco-friendly biodegradable abrasive composite method using cocos nucifera and luffa cylindrica fiber reinforcement comprises a homogeneous, non-woven matrix of hydrophobic Cocos nucifera (coir) fibers and hydrophilic Luffa cylindrica (loofah) fibers uniformly distributed and bonded by a vulcanized natural rubber latex lattice. The coir fibers form a rigid structural framework that provides abrasive scrubbing performance, maintains the shape of the article, and promotes rapid drainage and drying to reduce moisture retention and bacterial growth. The loofah fibers are dispersed throughout the matrix to function as absorbent reservoirs that retain water and cleaning agents, enabling sustained lather release during use. The vulcanized natural latex forms a flexible reticulated network that securely binds the fibers while preserving the porous structure for unrestricted air and water flow, thereby enhancing durability and preventing fiber shedding or delamination. The cleaning article is completely free of synthetic polymers, eliminating microplastic pollution and providing a sustainable, hygienic, and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional synthetic cleaning sponges.
