Abstract: A unique rehabilitation device called the Dyno tenso fit splint with individual adjustable finger tension is suggested to be developed for helping people to restore their hand functionality in case of hand injuries, various neurological disorders, tendon repairs, or other post-surgery conditions. The main idea of this splint is the ability to provide individualized assistance and adjustable tension for each finger of the patient. While the existing dynamic splints are designed in such a way that they allow applying one tension for all fingers of the hand, the proposed one is to give an opportunity to the therapist to change the resistance or assistance applied to each finger. While the proposed cock-up splint provides the wrist in the cock-up position, it allows controlled flexion and extension of the fingers thanks to the adjustable tension mechanism. The possibility of providing individual assistance or resistance to each finger will help to restore the range of movements, strengthen the muscles, increase their flexibility and develop coordination and dexterity without causing any joint stiffness or muscle fatigues. The adjustable mechanism allows changing the level of tension during rehabilitation depending on the progress of the patient. Developed with the use of light, comfortable, and biocompatible materials, the proposed device is easy to use, comfortable for wearing and does not require any additional attention from the side of the patient. This splint can be easily adjusted and maintained. It is intended to be used in rehabilitation centers, hospitals or even at home. The combination of dynamic assistance and individualization of finger tension will help to create a cheap and efficient rehabilitation tool.
