The apparatus includes a plurality of cameras (101A-C) positioned at an intersection, a processor (200), and a plurality of motor-driven mechanisms (106). The processor (200) is configured to receive optical data from the plurality of cameras (101A-C). The processor (200) is configured to detect an emergency vehicle (104) presence based on the optical data.
