MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641074858 A) filed by Cvr College Of Engineering on June 17, 2026, for Dynamic Emotional Audio Adaptation Using An Embedded Artificial Intelligence Hearing Assistance Apparatus.

Inventors include V D S Krishna; and Dr. Karthik Karmakonda.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: The present invention provides an edge AI emotion adaptive hearing assistance system that is capable of automatically adjusting the hearing amplification characteristic based on emotion and physiology. The system consists of an audio acquisition module, feature extraction module, embedded emotion inference engine, physiological sensing module, adaptive digital signal processing controller, and audio output module. The emotion inference engine categorizes emotional properties of speech signals and physiological sensing module detects the stress parameters of the user. The adaptive DSP controller dynamically adjusts amplification gain, frequency emphasis, compression ratio and noise suppression parameters based on the detected emotional characteristics and physiological responses, to optimize speech intelligibility and hearing comfort. Using edge artificial intelligence architecture, without cloud dependency, the invention performs emotional inference locally, to reduce latency and enhance user privacy.
