Abstract: Methods and system for maintaining communication between point-of-sale (POS) terminals and associated devices during network outages. A primary POS terminal automatically establishes itself as a wireless hotspot when detecting a network failure, creating an ad hoc network for continued operation. Associated staff and kitchen devices automatically connect to this temporary network using pre-configured credentials managed through an administrative interface. The system periodically monitors for restoration of the primary network and seamlessly transitions all devices back to the original network when available. This ensures continuous business operations during network outages without requiring manual intervention or technical expertise. Fig. 1A
