MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521099262 A) filed by Atharva Girish Darshane on October 14, 2025, for Durga Kavach – A Two-Wheeler Mounted Women Safety Alert System.

Inventor includes Atharva Girish Darshane.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to a women safety alert device called Durga Kavach that uses an ESP32 microcontroller, a SIM800L GSM module, a NEO-6M GPS module, and a built-in camera. The system operates through a dual-switch mechanism in which a small hidden switch first arms the device. When the main switch is pressed once, the ESP32 immediately activates the camera and starts continuous video recording. When the main switch is pressed a second time continuously, the ESP32 collects real-time GPS coordinates from the NEO-6M module and commands the SIM800L to send an SOS message through GSM, without internet, to the police control room, Nirbhaya Pathak, and predefined contacts. The SOS contains the live location of the user. The device is designed to be mounted on a two-wheeler and works independently of a smartphone, providing fast activation, continuous recording from the first press, and reliable emergency communication.
