MUMBAI, India, Aug. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641097684 A) filed by Anandaganesh Dhanabalan on August 12, 2026, for Ducted Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine -Based Power Generation And Battery Charging System.

Inventor includes Anandaganesh Dhanabalan.

The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a Square Ducted Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine System for Vehicle and Marine Power Generation with Integrated Direct-Drive Permanent Magnet Generator and Energy Storage Charging System is Ducted Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (D-HAWT) -Based Power Generation and Battery Charging System. The system comprises an aerodynamic duct housing configured to capture and accelerate airflow through a horizontal-axis wind turbine directly coupled to a permanent magnet generator without the use of a gearbox or belt transmission. The generator produces three-phase alternating current, which is converted into regulated direct current through a bridge rectifier and a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) wind charge controller for charging a rechargeable battery energy storage system. The enclosed duct enhances airflow concentration, improves energy conversion efficiency, reduces aerodynamic losses, and provides protection for the rotating turbine. The invention is suitable for installation on marine vessels, commercial vehicles, and stationary renewable energy applications, enabling efficient onboard auxiliary power generation, battery charging, and reduced dependence on conventional fuel-powered electrical generation systems through a compact, modular, and low-maintenance design.
