Abstract: ABSTRACT DUAL-SENSOR FUSION BASED IOT TRAFFIC PRIORITIZATION SYSTEM FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES The present invention discloses a dual-sensor fusion based IoT traffic prioritization system (100) for emergency vehicles at road intersections. The system (100) employs an acoustic detection module (110) and a proximity detection module (120) with a logical AND-based fusion validation executed by a central processing unit (130) implemented on a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller. A traffic signal control module (140) with a first lane signal assembly (142) and a second lane signal assembly (144) provides automatic priority clearance only upon simultaneous confirmation of siren sound and vehicle presence. A wireless communication module (150) operating as a WiFi access point hosts a web dashboard interface (160) for real-time monitoring and manual override via a manual override module (180). The system (100) operates entirely offline without internet, GPS, or vehicle-mounted equipment, providing reliable, low-cost emergency traffic signal preemption. [
