Abstract: ABSTRACT DUAL POINT OF DISPLAY (PoD)-HYBRID THIN FILM TRANSISTOR (TFT) CLUSTER The present invention relates to a dual Point-of-Display (PoD) hybrid TFT instrument cluster 100 for a motorcycle, configured to simultaneously present analog and digital information in a unified display architecture. The instrument cluster 100 comprises a single TFT display 118 having a plurality of point-of-display regions, including a left-hand side point-of-display 104, a right-hand side point-of-display 108, and a central section 114 disposed between the left-hand side point-of-display 104 and the right-hand side point-of-display 108. A left-hand side analog speedometer 102 is disposed in the left-hand side point-of-display 104, and a right-hand side analog RPM gauge 106 is disposed in the right-hand side point-of-display 108. The single TFT display 118 is configured to present map navigation data 110 in a region associated with the left-hand side point-of-display 104 and vehicle operating parameters 116, including at least one of odometer information, trip information, fuel level, clock, and gear position, in a region associated with the right-hand side point-of-display 108. The central section 114 presents tripper navigation information 112 to provide direct rider visibility. In an embodiment, the TFT display is rectangular with curved lower corners, and the instrument cluster 100 further comprises warning indicators including LED- based indicators and icon-based warning indicators.
