MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611083474 A) filed by Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur on July 07, 2026, for Dual-Phase Transdermal Assessment System.
Inventors include Ruchika; Krishna Mittal; and Dr. Sachin Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a Dual-Phase Transdermal Assessment System (100) for the Psoriasis Vulgaris. The system (100) comprises a multi-laminate structure having two distinct drug Reservoir (102) segregated by an Interposed Control Membrane (ICM) (103). The First Drug Reservoir (102) contains a hydrophobic Immune-Modulating Agent, such as Tacrolimus or Tofacitinib, formulated for sustained deep-tissue delivery. The Second Drug Reservoir (102) contains a hydrophilic Epidermal Barrier Repair Complex comprising Ceramides, Cholesterol, and Fatty Acids, formulated for rapid surface release. The ICM (103) ensures chemical stability by preventing the interaction of the incompatible Reservoir (102) and controls the release kinetics of the immunomodulator. This configuration provides a dual mechanism of action: immediate restoration of the stratum corneum barrier and sustained suppression of the underlying inflammatory cascade, resulting in improved assessment efficacy and patient compliance compared to monolithic patch system.
