MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541109220 A) filed by T. Saravanan on November 11, 2025, for Dual-Mode Pressure Cooker And Multi-Steamer With Optimized Whistle Mechanism.

Inventor includes T. Saravanan.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: TITLE: DUAL-MODE PRESSURE COOKER AND MULTI-STEAMER WITH OPTIMIZED PRESSURE REGULATING WHISTLE MECHANISM The invention discloses a pressure cooker capable of operating in dual modes using a pressure-regulating whistle with a mass below 49 grams. The whistle is provided as a single integrated unit, optionally combined with an additional weight or color-coded variants to suit different boiling and steaming applications or combination of vent weight, Lid of vent weight, Whistle handling holder and Vent tube whistle lock mechanism. The mass, geometry, seating surface, and venting profile of the whistle are optimized to provide a predictable valve lift at defined internal pressures, while permitting controlled steam circulation, thereby ensuring efficient steaming without continuous high-pressure venting. When used with a multi-tier rack and tray system, the cooker can replace multiple kitchen utensils, including steamers, kadhais, idli pots, and egg steamers. The invention effectively reduces utensil cost, saves storage space, lowers fuel consumption, and shortens cooking time, thereby enhancing overall efficiency and safety in domestic and commercial kitchens.
