Abstract: A dual mode carrier and locking device for bicycles comprises of a V-shaped body 101 developed to be positioned in proximity to rear portion of a seat post of a bicycle, an ultrasonic sensor for determining dimensions of the seat post, a C-shaped clamp 102 installed on tip of the body 101 to acquire a hold of the seat post, an electromagnet for getting engaged with each other to lock the clamp 102, a microphone 103 for user input to form a carrier of the bicycle, an imaging unit 105 to detect distance of the member 104 from the body, two extendable rods 106 integrated in the body 101 to position ends of a U-shape member 104, a motorized iris lid 107 arranged with the member 104 for attaching the member 104 on the body, an expandable plate 108 arranged on the member 104 to use as carrier.
