MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541024799 A) filed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited on March 19, 2025, for Dual Functional Additive Composition For Simultaneously Improving The Lubricity And Conductivity Of Hydrocarbon Fuels.

Abstract: The present invention provides a dual functional additive composition that improves the lubricity and conductivity of the hydrocarbon fuels. The present invention provides a fuel additive composition comprising 30 to 80% by weight of an organic salt and optionally 20 to 70 % by weight of a diluent. Wherein, the organic salt comprises of a fatty acid and an alkanol amine. The components of dual functional additive composition at a specific weight ratio can improve the lubricity as well as conductivity of hydrocarbon fuels.
