MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641101734 A) filed by Darshan C; and Deekshitha P on August 23, 2026, for Dual-Function Rotary Spindle Interface For Concealed Electromechanical Lock Access Control.

Inventors include Darshan C; and Deekshitha P.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: [0001] An electromechanical locking apparatus features a secure interior housing enclosing all active electronic components, leaving no electronics exposed on unsecure exterior side. A central mechanical spindle assembly connects exterior actuation handle and interior actuation handle. Depressing exterior actuation handle along a second trajectory path translates connecting linkage to retract slidable locking latch bolt, subject to physical obstruction by linearly moving blocking element driven by servomechanism. Elevating the exterior actuation handle along a first trajectory path actuates internal contact switch. A processing unit decodes short rotational pulses and sustained rotational holds along said first trajectory path to compile a primary multi-digit entry array. Upon five consecutive validation failures, the processing unit escalates to anti-brute-force emergency mode requiring extended multi-slot emergency entry array across ten discrete slots. Validating the entry array or actuating primary physical input module prompts servomechanism to retract blocking element, unblocking the second trajectory path for manual unlatching.
