The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dual-function indoor environmental device using recycled car engine air filter media comprises an air filter media (110), an electron-beam treatment unit (130) operatively associated with the air filter media (110), and an enclosure structure (120) coupled to the air filter media (110) to retain the treated air filter media (110) in a porous geometry. The electron-beam treatment unit (130) irradiates the air filter media (110) to sterilise the air filter media (110) and induce persistent electrostatic surface charge within the air filter media (110). In use, the treated air filter media (110) interacts with airflow passing through the device such that airborne particulate matter is captured by combined electrostatic and mechanical interaction, while acoustic energy is attenuated by airflow resistance within the same treated air filter media (110).
