Abstract: Provided is a balloon catheter including a single inflation lumen, capable of preventing balloon rupture, and having an increased contraction response. In a bonded part 12a on a distal end side, an inside balloon 3 is bonded to an inner tube 5 and an outside balloon 2 is bonded to the inside balloon 3. In a bonded part 12b on a base end side, the inside balloon 3 is bonded to an outer tube 4 and the outside balloon 2 is bonded to the inside balloon 3, thereby forming a balloon catheter having a single inflation lumen 8. The outside balloon 2 and the inside balloon 3 are not bonded in an inflation part 11. The maximum diameter f2 of the inside balloon 3 is set such as to be smaller than the maximum diameter f1 of the outside balloon 2. The length L2 of the inside balloon 3 in the inflation part 11 is set such as to be shorter than the length L1 of the outside balloon 2.
