MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617060249 A) filed by Jost-Werke Deutschland Gmbh on May 12, 2026, for Drum Brake Support Assembly With Pre-Mounted Attachable Camshaft Actuating Assembly.
Inventor includes Pentin, Paul.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to a drum brake support assembly (46), comprising an axle-side support component (18) and an actuating assembly (30) fastened thereto, wherein: the actuating assembly (30) comprises a camshaft (40) extending along a camshaft longitudinal axis (L) and a camshaft housing (42) that mounts the camshaft (40) so as to be rotatable about its camshaft longitudinal axis (L); the camshaft (40) comprises an actuating cam (38), which is designed to transmit an actuating moment to brake shoes (20, 22) of a drum brake (16); the camshaft (40; 140; 240) comprises, along the camshaft longitudinal axis (L) at a spacing from the actuating cam (38; 138), a drive formation (64; 164); the actuating assembly (30) comprises a fastening arrangement (58), by means of which the camshaft housing (42) is connected to a receiving formation (48) on the axle-side support component (18) in order to fasten the actuating assembly (30) on the axle-side support component (18). The fastening arrangement (58) and the receiving formation (48) cooperating with the fastening arrangement (58) in order to transmit a fastening force are designed such that the actuating assembly (30), as a pre-mounted actuating assembly (30) with a camshaft (40) accommodated in the camshaft housing, is connected to the axle-side support component (18) for fastening to the axle-side support component (18).
